Bill Tweit has served on the Board since 2013. He is married to Lucy Winter, a cellist who has played in the Olympia Symphony for 25 years. They have three daughters and five grandchildren. Bill is a Special Assistant to the Director of the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. He represents the state of Washington on the North Pacific Fishery Management Council, and his other duties include chairing the Washington Invasive Species Council, work on renewing the Columbia River Treaty, and developing fish and wildlife programs in the Columbia River basin. He is an avid birdwatcher, and also enjoys hiking and backpacking with his family in the Cascades. He is a partner in Westport Seabirds, an ecotourism business showing birdwatchers the seabirds and whales found off Washington's coasts. Bill received his Bachelors degree from the Evergreen State College in 1976, and has lived in the Olympia area since then.
