Hello friends!
I am so excited to finally call Olympia my home, and I am even more excited to meet all of you! We have an incredible season planned out for this year. Together, we will explore themes of resilience, belonging, courage, and hope through the power of music. Our season addresses women in music, diversity of cultures, mental health, and unity across musical genres. Our hope is to reflect the unique mosaic of our South Sound community as we dream about a beautiful future together.
Our October 16 "Season Reveal Concert" was great fun, and we enjoyed sharing with you the inspiration behind each concert. We know you are
as excited as we are to hear these programs in their entirety, at the newly-remodeled Washington Center for the Performing Arts.
On December 23 we will celebrate film and families with “The Music of John Williams” – a spectacular concert featuring music from Harry Potter, Superman, and Star Wars!
(Please note: The John Williams concert is not included as part of our subscription, so make sure to purchase your ticket for this event through the Washington Center website!)
Our three-concert subscription season will run February, March, and April 2023. We will be offering a new Saturday evening concert option (February 4, with a repeat Sunday matinee February 5), familiar and soon-to-be-your-new-favorite tunes, and a season finale featuring the largest ensemble of Olympia Symphony musicians we have ever assembled on the Washington Center stage!
I am honored to be the Olympia Symphony’s new Music Director, and can’t wait to get to know my new community. Thank you for subscribing!
