The first in a series of masterclasses presented by Olympia Symphony Guest Artists, Michael Sheppard will instruct four local youth pianists on the main stage of the Washington Center for the Performing Arts. Michael will share insights, expertise, and inspiration in his signature lighthearted and humorous way. Music students, teachers, and anyone interested in music will gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for the music-making process.
This event is free to attend, with donations gratefully welcomed. Michael will be performing the Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Olympia Symphony Orchestra on February 4 & 5.
Michael Sheppard is a pianist, composer, conductor, writer, and actor who resides in Baltimore, where he works at both the Peabody Conservatory and the Baltimore School for the Arts, sharing his love and understanding of music and the artistic process with future generations.
