The second in a series of masterclasses presented by Olympia Symphony Guest Artists, Philadelphia Orchestra Concertmaster David Kim will instruct local youth violinists and violists in the welcoming space of Westminster Presbyterian. David will share insights, expertise, and inspiration. Music students, teachers, and anyone interested in music will gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for the music-making process.


There is no charge for participation or attendance, but donations are gratefully welcomed. David will be performing the Bruch Violin Concerto in G Minor with the Olympia Symphony Orchestra on March 19 at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts, Olympia.

 

David Kim is an international soloist and violin adjudicator, educator, and speaker, who resides in Philadelphia. He is the current Concertmaster of the Philadelphia Orchestra, and serves as Distinguished Artist at the Robert McDuffie Center for Strings at Mercer University in Macon. He is passionate about the value of art and culture across all generations.
